I dont know what drew my attention first: The imposing giant of a woman with the flame-colored hair, or the gargantuan chocolate sundae she was attacking with such obvious delight. Whatever else you care to say about her, know this: Sally Mursi is a woman with one hell of an appetite. Good for you, I blurt out with a smile. It doesnt show at all! .

Taiwan’s desinicization policy pulls at seams of One China
In his column “Question of Taiwan's independence debatable," (1/28) Carl Kubler makes an interesting case for the issue of Taiwan independence. Kubler's article addresses a de facto control of Taiwan by the Republic of China. The vast majority of the world focuses on mainland China's unwavering insistence of the “One-China Policy" while failing to acknowledge the existing hostilities and potential for war associated with the political divisions across the Taiwan Straits. Using the basic "fast food architecture" as a template, Hotzman then forged each of the Mooby's elements -- from the giant fiber-glass cow on the rooftop to the cheesy playground in the parking lot. Ultimately, the production would spend some 20 days, most of the shoot, in the restaurant. Working closely with Smith and Holtzman was director of photography David Klein, who shot the original CLERKS and returned for a second dose. Klein had his work cut out for him as Smith threw a dizzyingly extensive 360-degree steadi-cam shot at him in the scene when Randal confronts Dante behind Mooby's. Another memorable sequence brought cast and crew to a local Go-Kart track, where Dante and Randal have an emergency race session in the middle of the workday accompanied by a Burt Bacharach love song -- a moment that seems to sum up the ineffable yearnings and inseparable friendship of their characters.
